My Top 7 reads of 2019 : Fiction and Non fiction
Welcome back!
2019 has been a hectic and tough learning experience for me. But in terms of reading, I am quite satisfied with how much I have read.
I am so excited to share my top 7 best books that I read this year.
I have included three non fictions and four fictions.
Without wasting a word, here are my top seven reads of 2019:
Fictions
1.The Hating Game :
This is such a cute and entertaining hate and love story between two work mates who can't stand each other but end up together.
I know I know, it's a common plot but the way it is presented is so much fun and interesting.
I was smiling the whole time they play trick on each other.
When you read the book, you can't help but fall for Joshua ; though he is tough and rude at times, he is so adorable and caring.
2. My beautiful wife: |
Psychological thriller |
I remember getting hooked from the first chapter of this book.
You'll find murder mysterys, betrayal and family drama.
I keep thinking if only there was no trust issues and betrayal from both sides, everything would have worked out.
3. The Silent Patient :
Psychological thriller |
I completed this book in a single sitting not because it was short but because I couldn't put it down
This is one of the best psychological thriller I have ever read and I just loved loved loved everything about this book.
A woman murders her husband and remains silent; thus the Silent Patient. A therapist, Theo is determined to help her and know the reason behind her silence.
4. The Book Thief :
"When death has a story to tell, you should listen."
I don't have words to describe how heart breaking but beautiful story this is.
The character building is a hit in this book.
I can't agree more when they say that this is the life changing book.
Non fictions
5. Becoming:
This is a memoir by Michelle Obama which is lengthy but engaging. It was a great experience reading this since I adore her personality a lot.
She talks a lot about her childhood and family life. This book gives insights to Michelle's perspectives on life and learnings.
6. Five love languages:
Self- help |
If you are struggling with building up relationships then it's a very helpful book. Basically, the book claims that there are primary love languages of every person and it can be different from person to person.
If you know your partner's love language then wallah! you got the key for your never ending healthy relationship.
This is one of the best book because it makes sense. If you want to read the summary then click here. But I suggest you to read or listen to audio books.
7.Rich dad poor dad:
I think this is a must read for every one; not just for those who wants be rich. Robert Kyosoki address this book as a means of financial education and it is.
I don't agree with everything he says but what he is trying to teach is valuable and worth reading.
If economy is a game then you should know how it is played even if you don't want be a part of it.
You can checkout the reviews of these beauties on my Instagram handle except for 'rich dad and poor dad' .
